The Journey Part 1
A new album series by Ne10, expanding from its new meaning of traveling through different sounds and a journey through his life. It’s also figurative diary about his life by far and what has inspired him to make the tracks in this album.
The 6 photos were taken raw at Harrah's Ak-Chin in Maricopa, Arizona. Where significant thoughts happen from the spot, hence this album being the main idea. His commitment to the 10 tracks he made, he has made his progression of Music Production, but he is not done.
Track 1: Keep Trying ‘Til You Do
Genre: Score
Tempo: 160 BPM
This score was intentionally made for inspiring others with their imagination, that no Journey in life is perfect, but it makes us who we are. After watching the documentary film “DALE”, Ne10's role model, NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Sr. quotes in the track, "It's not the only deal in my life, like I said, you know, there is hurdles you get over and some you don't, you know, you just Keep Trying 'Til You Do." Although many goals can be achieved if you keep pushing.
Track 2: The Journey w/ Dwooswa
Genre: Dubstep/Psy-Trance
Tempo: 160 BPM
The main idea of a transition from "Keep Trying 'Til You Do" to "The Journey" was first made by Ne10, then Dwooswa hopped on the ride for a better track with the 2nd drop and psy-trance drop. There are more collaborations to come with Ne10 & Dwooswa. This idea came originally from Arizona while on a family trip.
Track 3: Want You (Album Remaster)
Genre: Brostep/Mid-Tempo
Tempo: 156 to 110 BPM
Want You was originally a Final Project for his Music Production class at Fresno City College, then later presented as part of the Virtual Student Honors Recital. Now remastered for the album. The track is based on the love that is hooked over and over until the person becomes psychotic. An album release also features two remixes from Dwooswa & RaKüN.
Track 4: Vuelta w/ Nico Vargas
Genre: Cumbia/Moombahton/Trap
Tempo: 110 BPM
Vuelta, Spanish translation for "Turn Around, is a crossover of Cumbia, Moombahton & Trap in one track. With Nico Vargas with the vocal composition and Ne10 with the production value. Celebrating Ne10's Mexican heritage and the culture, he wanted to represent with the old to the new styles.
Track 5: Operation Moonlight (Album Edition)
Genre: Cyberpunk
Tempo: 95 BPM
Operation Moonlight was a well-received track, giving it an album edition for a re-release. This version includes a different style of acid drop in the 2nd half, while retaining the "Spy" & "Covert" style track. This track is intentionally for imagining slim action.
Track 6: Mist VIP
Genre: Hard Psy-Dance
Tempo: 150 BPM
Mist VIP was the first track of the album to be made, and was an inspiration by his friends of what they have done together and his rave experience for Seven Lions, Au5 & Jason Ross. Previously a Psy-Trance track, now a Hard Psy-Dance track. Mist VIP became the staple of Ne10's production.
Track 7: Be With You
Genre: Electro House
Tempo: 128 BPM
While this track included vocals from MYLK, this track came with inspiration from his cousins from Arizona, gaming, and other communities. Being an uplifting and bouncy track, he brings 2010's nostalgia of Electro House to today.
Track 8: One More Night
Genre: Electro Acid
Tempo: 128
One More Night was a track of subliminal adult meanings, of which it is a psychotic person falling in love too quickly. While it is a euphoric track, the acid and electro elements are inspired by Deadmau5 and 2000's to 2010's electro sounds.
Track 9: Universe
Genre: Color Bass
Tempo: 153 BPM
Universe was originally made for the Rushdown Production Contest on Discord with Sharks & Skybreak. However this track did not make it to the top 3. Ne10 releases this track with the album to represent his thoughts of the universe, that we do not know what is out there, but what we know is that the universe is expansive.
Track 10: Curiosity
Genre: Lo-Fi
Tempo: 82 BPM
Curiosity is a follow up of Universe with the lo-fi value, giving it thought of how the world is. Even our own planet. We have our own kind of curiosity, therefore wondering what is out there. Ne10's love of sound expanded to low fidelity with this track. While Ronald Reagan and Alien references are in this track, these are only two of the over billions of thoughts we can have as human beings.
